Face Recognition in a Crowd.

This is the crowd before the riot.   Put your cursor anywhere in the crowd and double-click a couple of times and then use the roll button in the centre of your mouse.  This is pretty amazing.

If you and your loved ones don't already have a passport, I urge you to get one NOW!  Much of the rest of the world is astounded to hear that most Americans don't own a passport.  America is such a huge, diverse and beautiful country, that there has been little need to leave it... until recently.  Today, not having a passport is like living in a building without a fire escape.  Even if you have no immediate travel plans, it's too important to be without one.

 I watched this video thinking "but what could a sister with a cat and a laser pointer possibly do that would be interesting?"

I heard this interesting fun fact today...

Everyone (except those born in the year 2000 and beyond) can (for this current year only) add their age + their birthdate and always arrive at the sum of 111.

Here's how it works.

Let's say you were born in 1963.  Take the last 2 digits:  63.  Add the age you will be on your birthday in 2011.  In this case, 48.

63+48=111.

Is this significant?

Maybe some of you here on this forum have been to these gatherings before. I had never even heard of them before this year - even though they have been going on since 1972 (this was the 39th gathering)! Since this year it was in Washington - not far from me - I decided to go and check it out.
