The Alignment Within

Has anyone seen this movie?

Haven't seen it but looks interesting.  The funny thing about illusion (easier to conceive of regarding 3D space and holograms...) is that time itself is the thing that shows how our concept of reality breaks down.  Science used to call it the fourth dimension because it didn't know what else to say, but it is directly tied to our perception through our "physical" senses, so I think "time/space" is a better designation, and I'm pretty sure even Einstein would have come to that conclusion by now.

What I find interesting (but not funny) is how many people have transposed their beliefs/conditioning from the Christian Armageddon to the Mayan Apocalypse.  Those two words have very different connotations.  I'm all for some "Apocalypse" action, but totally unsupportive of Armageddon...

Some years back I met a traditional Mayan Jeweler down here in N.Z. After buying a lovely necklace as a gift, I asked him what will happen at the end of the calendar, he said "We start a new one"

LOL made me laugh, exactly what we do except our calendars are a lot shorter.

lol! :)  isn't that the truth?!  except they have like nineteen (I don't really know) different cycles or calendars going on, so there's always a new one starting!  HA!  sort of like "Indian time", which I guess it is...  this "big one" was actually the "end of time" supposedly.  relates to our false concept of time, I think.  but the prophecy never said the "end of the world", so what the hell are all of these nutjobs talking about?  is life really so bad that they would selfishly want it to end for everyone?  Pah!  "suck it up, Christopher" a friend once told me.  and now I'm telling it to the world!

Hi Ian-

This film is at Giam TV

http://www.gaiamtv.com/

I feel it is worth the $10 / month to join. I'm watching the film now. I'll let you know how good it is when I'm done.

I don't think you are missing much. I'm about a 1/4 of the way through and I'm tempted to just stop watching. It's one of those documentary styles that you frequently see on tv these days. They interview 20 or more people but then they break up the interviews and flip from person to person so all you get is sound bytes instead of a meaningful and comprehensive story from any of the interviews. Too bad, it probably could have been good.

Now they are explaining the calendar as a way to help your life, like astrology. I found a way to look up your birthday to find your Mayan calendar signs.

http://www.mymayansign.com/mayaburcum?birthday=18&birthmonth=12&birthyear=1961&sun=no

I've looked up my own birthday and I have to say it fits a bit better than my astrological sign.

nice resourcefulness!  if it's the same count as mayanmajix, I guess I'm an overtone monkey...  nothing new there...  guess I should get creating...  something...  time to take out the trash...  new world, anyone?...

Eyejay's picture

You say overtone, not sure I understand, what number tone?

Also another great site is http://www.maya-portal.net/tzolkin

According to all sites I'm a Rabbit day sign with a 3 over tone, and my Trecana is Death. All of which read me like a book.............or should I say yes I arrived on time

Starmonkey's picture

sorry there, used 2 arguelles terminology...  monkey with tone 5 and deer trecana and my wife is monkey with tone 7 and serpent trecana.  funny cuz we're not the same in the dreamspell...  I'll check the other site 2.  glad we all arrived on time!  hope we're not TOO early.  pretty sure we're not too late

Nice and strong there Christopher, yet also gentle and at one with nature, seems to fit with you purrfect. I take it the serpent doesn't scare you too often, she's very wise though. I'm picking you make a great couple

Starmonkey's picture

no, i'm not scared of the serpent.  or spiders.  a little careful around the black widows...  your's sounds right on as well!  funny how they don't really tell us anything we don't already know, but it makes us feel that the universe is aware of us out here!  in the backwaters!  the nosebleed section...  not the "cheap seats", i guess, cuz there's such a waiting line for this ride!
