Maybe we are the machine

All right then, check this out.

That robot was doing a few taiji moves,,,which, scientifically,,,would prevent the robot from falling over, because they are balanced movements

I think the real question was totally ignored,,,if you can program them with empathy,,then the cats behind the scenes have already been programming them with far less admirable virtues,,,,same process,,,different virtue...... Tape their eyes open and make them watch the videos they did to roddy mcdowell in Clockwork Orange and watch how they turn out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Seems to me that say a machine becomes conscious or self aware, lets say it aquires a certain self intent, where it considers looking out for itself is it's primary objective. (A mind of it's own.) Then I would say, that would not be different than our own evolution. Who's to say one self aware consciousness is more trustworthy or capable or even aware than any other. In fact mighten it not just as well make equal or better decisions than we have produced ourselves? Since a majority of our decisions are not made with the best use of intelligence. Instead based on fear or anxiety. I'm not sure the machine should be any scarier to us than we are to other beings of the universe?

yeah,,,people freaked out when the zeitgeist movement suggested we should compile info on computers and let them make decisions on how to use our resources, which would eliminate all the bad decisions made by politicians,,or,,,corporations. I liiked the idea. It might not of been perfect, but it beats the hell out of what we have....

In my previous comment I was referring to the military,,who has hoarded all technology and kept it from us for decades to exploit the aggressive uses of it first. I believe they are way ahead of the mainstream with robotics already....

It's like anything... a knife, for example.  It's a useful tool for cutting things like food, yet with mal intent, it can be used for destruction and death.

What I find troublesome is the fact that science and technology is currently directed and controlled by the psychopathic 1% who have a depopulation agenda for the 99%.  So with that scenario in mind, wouldn't it be foolish to give a knife to a mass murderer?

A world filled with Franken-foods and artificial intelligence gives me the creeps.  It feels so contrary to divine will and nature.
