First of all I agree with Bob completely. The other thought I had is that this is the Buddhist way. The Zen way. When all is said and done, and we have finally found our selves back with the Original Source, It will be Zero. And It will be All. Thanks for the video Billy.

Great posts from all - I agree too. I think this idea of consciousness observing itself is the root truth of many religions, what came to mind for me was "I Am that I Am". I believe this is the translation of Yahwey, the name that God gives himself in the old testament.
Perhaps this is related - I thought I would post it later but it's been so great so far why wait till I'm done listening? Here's the first part of a long lecture by Robert Monroe talk about his out of body experiences and life goals. Right now I'm at the place where he is talking about doing some self searching - coincidence?

I agree with all of you. As far as complicated...I don't think the concept would be complicated for most at the Gathering Spot.....Just for fun...What kind of reaction do you think you would get trying to discuss this with "the man on the street"? Mabey I am not giving the masses enough credit. That is why I love the Gathering Spot. I do not find that many people willing or capable of discussing the topics we discuss here on a daily basis...Thanks again for your and everyone's input.
Did you get that lead from Richard Sauder's Aug 11 interview on C to C (I thought I remembered his name being mentioned)? Nice moment of synchronicity Wendy if that's true... I also agree with Bob, well said. Felt myself standing on the cliff with you and each of us smiling that liberating smile of appreciation for how utterly simple it really is, since its already Home and already Sacred. We really DO do it to ourselves on purpose don't we?
So we really do have all the time in the world!!! LOL

Out of that whole video, I believe you went right to the essence of Truth -- as an experience, not an idea: Consciousness observing itself. Beyond content and form. After having observed and passed beyond everything (everything) else , there's nothing left but Itself. Pure Awareness. Consciousness observing itself: Clarity, luminosity, Love. The Ground of everything. All the rest is derivative.
But I don't think it's complicated at all; what could be simpler? We're just addicted to complexity and processes and journeys; we love searching and we love entertainment. That may be one reason we miss It. But I believe it's our destiny to come home to It -- once we give up conceptualizing Truth and begin opening our hearts to the unknown, the unknowable -- and falling into it, like dropping off a cliff.
