Changing the story .... the big picture

I stumbled upon this today and it's so relevent to some of the discussion here lately, I think it's amazing.

This is good stuff, but it doesn't preclude the negative influences that I referenced in my recent post, The Big Picture:  http://gatheringspot.net/node/8619.  I think that's what you're eluding to by the title of your post.

IMO it comes down to guarding our consciousness.   We should be consciously aware of our thoughts and beliefs because ultimately that's what creates our reality.  Our consciousness makes us human.   We can either accept what we're being programmed to think through the media and education systems or we can create a new paradigm via our own imaginations.

We're probably in agreement, Gary, just approaching the subject from different aspects.

Precluding any of your posts or references would not be the intent or result of the post I assure you. In fact opening up the focus and redirection or expansion of that focus from the narrow or tight "warning", "beware", or "danger" point of view to a solution type "lets try this" attitude, was my thinking. We are all well aware of the pitfalls that are available. I think not only avoiding them, but nullifying them, could be a good approach.

I am thinking we need to eliminate the battle mode we are all locked into. We've awakened to the lies and mistakes that have created our illusory world. A major contributing factor in that world is battle. We tend to want to battle the lies and mistakes we unveil. We have also unveiled the truth about anger and violence, etc. Battling the oppostion (or there even being an opponent) therefore must not be a possible sulution.

     Good thinking Gary

Excellent thinking my man.

Interesting that you would agree with Gary's position that 'battling the opposition is not an option' when on another thread you just urged people to 'get the hell out there and fight.'  I wonder if you even know where you stand on the issues, Brian.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, a battle is being waged against humanity.  Although I am a pacifist, perhaps what is called for in this moment in time is a little fighting back.   We have been passively accepting whatever they dish out for too long.  I don't have all the solutions but it seems obvious that a different tact is warranted.

I don't see any benefit in labeling someone an alarmist for spreading the truth.  Very few people know about the archons, which is why I posted it.  Your reaction to any news is no fault of the message.   If we're ever going to get out of this mess, we must be willing to consider all the facts from all angles, even if it may be uncomfortable or frightening.   Humans have a tendency to close off other avenues of information if they contradict their personal paradigm  (cognitive dissonance).   To break free of the matrix, we must love the truth so much that we are willing to find it even as naysayers ridicule our efforts and we must be willing to change our minds when new evidence comes to our attention.

Made me think of a term I believe will finally play a large role in our future (hopefully near future), and that is "gracefully fading".

Max Igan calls it "peaceful non-compliance".

I can look back in my past and see certain individuals who naturally understood and practiced the art of peaceful non-compliance or gracefully fading a bad situation.  I always envied them because I naturally understood and practiced the art of non-essential karmic entanglement (lots of friction and heat with no positive constructive results).

There are obviously those that feed on such energies, so why feed them?  I don't know what the final solution is going to be, but I highly suspect that a very intelligent well thought out form of peaceful non-compliance will be involved en mass.

garydgreer's picture

This post wasn't to criticize looking into the archons. I think the living universe can handle the archons and our best bet is to learn to interact with the living universe to evolve past the method or ability of the archons to engage us. In turn, I seem to understand that the method or ability is psychological, therefore unreal or maybe caused by incomplete understanding of who or what we really are. Some how playing their game is the trigger to the deception and their hold on us. Their game seems, is to have us at odds with one another over who is the bigger idiot, trying to screw things up. The bigger slacker or lacker. We are neither, either.

There's nothing to look into. Not worth worrying about. Whatcha gonna do about things you cannot ken?...

Probably just the same old, same old. Be careful what you feed or give energy to. There are definitely parasites and dependents...

SOOO...

The "seven deadly sins", balancing the chakras or what have you. Get em all spinning in harmony and not sucking or blowing and the self-actualizing system will take care of all that.

The mind is a terrible thing to taste

There ya go ...

Noa's picture

I'm being overly sensitive.  I felt like this thread diverted attention away from and minimized the importance of my post http://gatheringspot.net/node/8619

And Starmonkey, you may think "there is nothing to look into" just as others who are content to stay in their protective paradigm do, but I don't think it's fair to encourage others here to be closed minded.

IMO, apathy is a major factor in what's wrong with the world.

Starmonkey's picture

I don't have apathy and I don't have a protective paradigm. Keep your labels and judgments, especially of others on this site, to yourself. Save it for the world you so despise and would have be other than it is. Oh, how glad I am that YOU are not "God".

;)

ChrisBowers's picture

Noa, you don't have to say such negative and hurtful things to people when they don't appear to agree with you.  It must be exhausting to be so polarized so much of the time.  give yourself and others a break already girlfriend!!!!

maybe start appreciating that others have their own personal way of approaching subject material and life in general (as it should be, duh!).

do you really want a community to look like Nazi Germany or North Korea????

Starmonkey's picture

Second that!!!

garydgreer's picture

I can't figure out if I'm bubble headed or pin headed.

ChrisBowers's picture

it has been my consistent life experience that those who criticize others for sport/self endulgence are usually doing little to nothing to save the world, and those who are actually engaged in trying to do something to save the world or help others rarely waste time criticizing or talking down to others...

leaving here wont change your life experience Noa because as you so well know already, wherever you go, there you are. such a tired cliche, but so true.... Good luck with that "you guys don't deserve me" approach Noa.  Remember the other old and tired cliche about doing the same damn thing and expecting new and different results, this time for sure Charlie Brown!!!!!!

Moron this later I'm sure dudes....

Gary, if I stick a pin in the bubble, will I be cured??? LOL

Starmonkey's picture

Wow. I refer back to the WingMakers again. Since it was partly responsible for this site's inception, it's really the only foundation we have here. It took me some time to understand the "nurturence of nature" precept. It means respecting ALL experiences and p.o.v.s and karmic entanglements. Patience is maybe THE hardest virtue to cultivate. Especially frustrating because we're aware of things and perspectives that aren't "popular" right now, and may not be for HUNDREDS of years to come. Aggravating, sure, but I have my own stuff to work on and I can only do my own time. Same for the rest of y'all. Mind your own yard and business, the grass is NOT greener over there, and there is no escape. We have to create it here. And it is a WASTE OF OUR TIME to fight with or engage in battle or worry about those fools and what mechinations they may be undertaking. Get out of the way is the sagest advice I can give. Gracefully and delicately remove oneself from as much use or dependency of this technosphere system that you can. Live life simply and hold to higher ideals.

There is no fixing it with any aspect of it, currently. It MUST collapse. People won't learn, otherwise.

Bob07's picture

Just remembering Bodhi's perspective and state of mind, as per some of his recent posts.  It's so easy to get "hooked"...  I know from my own exprience.  Ever try to hook a smooth glass ball?  No projections.  Velcro is another animal, however.  All those eyes (I's) sticking up, just a-waitin'.  ;-)

(I actually don't care for smiley faces... why do I use them?)

Noa's picture

"There is nothing to look into."  And this gets a big "good thinking" from the peanut gallery!  Nothing to look at and nothing to think about.

Don't you see?  That attitude leaves no room for any other perspective.  Nothing to see here, go back to sleep.

"There are none so blind as those who will not see."   This forum has been co-opted by bubble-headed pin heads.  It's rare anyone posts anything of substance here and when someone shares something of value, it gets barely a nod.

So long. I've wasted enough time on you morons.

Sorry, if the truth hurts.

It is the season of Peace on Earth-goodwill to men...and women. And so I wake this morning (again) to find discord in one of my favorite respites. (Did you know I come here when the outside world is a bit too harsh and unfeeling-and I find great comfort in the Light that can be found here?)

If in this place where we all have similiar (not exactly the same) ideas about the world we want, we cannot treat each other with respect how do we expect to exact transformation?

I won't point fingers.  I won't judge anything said here. We're all the players.  Time for a new game.  Mr. Rogers would not approve.

So don't quit saying what you need to say-but find another way. A way that encourages conversation rather than shutting ideas down.

We must all remember our paths are our own, our beliefs are our own, our actions or re-actions are our own.  But this place-It belongs to us ALL.   It's for expansion of our hearts, minds, bodies, souls.

May we find Peace in each of the 'worlds' we find ourselves in today. May we greet others with that most profound Peace.  May we teach others by the example we set through our own words, actions and energies we send out into the world.  It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.  Would you be my neighbor?

I have been a little confused reading this post, as all I heard Gary say was that we should try something different. Wars, genocides, finger pointing, etc. haven't gotten us anywhere, yet "they" count on us responding in those ways. The only real changes I have ever made in my life were when I reacted differently to a situation than I had before.... So many of us base our reactions on previous experiences, but it makes me sick when someone reacts the same way every time, and claims that it's based on experience. I wish I could react to every situation differently, but I guess I'm not there yet. That great definition of ignorance comes to mind,,doing the same thing, or reacting the same way  over and over  again and expecting to get a different result.  Maybe it is far fetched to think that we will ever collectively react differently to the shit we are bombarded with every day, but I'm pretty sure that consciousness HAS  to be the way out.

A man once said,,"it doesn't matter what I appear to be doing on the outside,,what matters is what I'm doing on the inside, for that is where our true power lies" Maybe not the most prolific words ever spoken, but that fact would just  strenghten his point! Smile,,,L,,,,T

Thank you I am smiling now, I was sad a few moments back.

I have a Dalai Lama tearoff calendar this year, was actually one given me a few years back and when I found it begining of this year the days matched "Go Figure" message there I feel.

Anyways the quote today being Saturday 19th december

"I pray for a more friendly, more caring, and more understanding human family on this planet. To all who dislike suffering, who cherish lasting happiness, this is my heartfelt appeal."

Thanks for the post, Gary, I just had a chance to watch the video now.

Despite having awakened to many truths, what essentially never changed for me is the underlying story and I kept on playing the same game of scarcity and survival and thinking selfishly. That basic assumption that we have to make our way in the world more or less alone, climb the ladder, protect one's own, and ignore the rest because we can't do anything about it anyways. All of that is from the old paradigm of the 'dead universe' understanding, with the basic feeling that I am a solitary being all alone in a sensory bag of skin and bones in a universe I don't understand.

I'm ready to change my story, but I know that old habits die hard and it's easy to get sucked into old ways of thinking. Luckily for us, the universe consipires on our behalf, giving us reminders almost constantly, if we have the eyes to see them. :-)

And I know that switching from feeling alone and disconnected to feeling the aliveness and connectedness with everything is as close as my own breath.

Noa, if you're still here, I don't think anyone is discounting what you're saying; from what I've read, people are acknowledging that there are influences that try to keep us in the old paradigm, but they are also sharing the perspective that to be in a mindset of war and opposition to that is also another form of falling into the old paradigm mentality.

Love you all!

Trish

garydgreer's picture

Trish I think you have, and well, I might add, summed things up in the correct manner.

I will add one thing, as it pertains to myself. I'm thinking that in addition to not participating in the battle, we can, collectively, create future reality where battle, along with it's catalysts, are irrelevant.

ChrisBowers's picture

Nail on the friggin' head.  To be lured into and entangled in the opposition option is to feed the old paradigm.  There has to be another way, a way to starve the old paradigm.  Peaceful non-compliance, stop purchasing the crap they make and stop adopting the bs they broadcast.  Hurt the Corporatocracy in their pocket books, the life blood of their illusory power structure.

Starve the beast en mass!!!!  Now there's your revolution!

It just has to be something along those lines because I can't think of one revolution in history that produced and sustained what is truly required to get to the next meta paradigm.

Another fun feature on this site besides going to the forums page to see who's on right now, is going to people's personal profile pages to see when the last time they visited was...

Easier said than done, eh?

Plus, then you can learn their REAL name and respectfully address them by it...

IF in fact you DO respect them...

Starmonkey's picture

Sorry. I was being a jack-ass. Part of my nature...

I just can't help attacking weaknesses, contradictions and inconsistencies. Not that I'm not rife with them myself...

Don't worry, I'm about to post something productive...

Working myself up to it

Moved post over to New Year's thread, more relevant there.
