My Rashness!!! Righteous Anger/Wrath and/or Distorted Hate ?

brothers and sisters this will be more like a public diary(but feel free to respond and add)

5/11/12 My Rashness!!! Righteous Anger/Wrath and/or Distorted Hate ?

again iv been noticing my need to spit fire, on Facebook today this caught my attention- picture post

The poverty of our century is unlike that of any other. It is not, as poverty was before, the result of natural scarcity, but of a set of priorities imposed upon the rest of the world by the rich. Consequently, the modern poor are not pitied but written off as trash. The twentieth-century consumer economy has produced the first culture for which a beggar is a reminder of nothing. Berger, John

J-S response "I'm sorry, but why should we care? They had the choice to either get an education or to be bums. It's obvious what they chose."

my response to that "J-S Such linear thinking there, may i suggest that the world is rarely black and white but an ocean of grey. With that assumption please explain educated bums ? And/Or Greece are you going to stand by that statement that the majority of Greece is choosing to be bums, when just a little while ago they were not!!! god that statement arrogance level is extreme im sorry i was trying to relate to you in a way that you might hear me and ignore my anger response, but im not zen. Do you really deep down believe that? that you can right off another human being because he/she is in need? that's similar to the way Hitler saw the Jews MAN! i was feeling anger when i read that, now i just feel sorrow... Here's is to hoping and working on expanding awareness and love so we can over come. plz forgive my rashness for i am human and i make mistakes especially with things im compassionate about plz forgive me for righting you off. For its just another manifestation of the same ugliness just pointed in a different direction."

nothing been activating my attention more then my anger resonantly. iv feel iv built an auto reflex to examine my anger and home in on myself to see what is might show me. i just cant pin down weather my anger is good or bad, maybe the question im asking is flawed maybe my compass should be based on contexts in which it is used. iv been noticing a little slow shift from rolling with direct confrontation into confrontation with analyst, and theirs a switching of my strong emotional outcry into slightly more purpose focused. as i analyze my anger/emotion and the result, i realize that im wanting to put less emphasis on the attacking an individual or perspective, and more towards a emission of awareness granted im not yet where i would like to be but iv begone my road of little changes, maybe if i incorporate more strongly that desire my anger will transform into energy for that purpose.

seems like there is an interesting phenomenon right now that is reaching for its parabolic peak.  I have to think this is a natural phenomenon that I should try to not get too caught up in (even though I am so easily tormented by the temptation to engage at times).

that is pretty much why I posted (reposted Ian's) that quote from the Hopi Elders - so perfect for where we are right now - right smack dab in the middle of changing/morphing from the old self-serving paradigm to the new service to others nurturing feminine paradigm.  it stands to reason that there would be this polarized effect between those awakening and those trying so desperately to hold on to the old ways of despotic patriarchal insanity.

and remember - its not that the feminine is better than the masculine - at the middle of the next cycle we will be right smack dab in the middle of another polarized phenomenon as we move back toward the masculine cosmic mood swing.  would that make the feminine "bad"?

of course it would........... NOT!!!  LOL

the real question is when are the collective human we going to get through a whole cycle without going polarized crazy?  a golden age that survives the natural tendency to "take sides" and polarize all that energy.  I look forward to the natural progression to that collective state of being where the temptation to find & assign fault is displaced by erudite intention to recognize and acknowledge the divine...

You are right.   Poverty, hunger, and homelessness are increasing thanks to the calculated theft of wealth by the global power elite.  Those that belittle its victims are ill-informed.

Here's just one example of how hard-working Americans can wind up broke and homeless:

Like you, I feel the anger rise when I see injustice, thoughtlessness, greed, and lack of compassion.  At times, I've felt self-righteous in my anger... but I think we know in our hearts that anger ultimately doesn't serve us.

In a recent post, I told of how my resentments about injustices caused the manifestation of more negative circumstances.  My solution is to practice Ho'oponopono whenever I catch myself thinking negative thoughts about people.  (Info on Ho'opo here:  http://www.wanttoknow.info/070701imsorryiloveyoujoevitale)

Noa, I'm so glad to hear you say that you use ho'oponopono when you are thinking negative things about people. That's exactly what I do, and I find it cuts the judgment right off. It's not possible to be saying "I love you, I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you" to someone, even in thought, and still feel judgmental toward them.

I've also used a technique from the little video called "The Gentle Art of Blessing." When I think a judgmental thought about someone, I immediately counter it with "and I bless you in your..." something that is the positive flip side of whatever I was just thinking that was negative. Even for people who display ignorance about how the economic and political structures make life nearly impossible for huge numbers of people, it's possible to find something to bless them in. I suspect this kind of response, even if it's only done in thought and intention, may do more to change their mind than arguing or getting angry. And it also is much more positive for me, the responder, because I feel much better about myself and about the other person.
