Here's 2 videos from Robert Menard. He has a very strong sense of his own power without being egotistical or pompous. The police in his local area in Canada have orders from the court not to arrest him! This may sound ridiculous but I can only image that people in their day reacted to Jesus Christ the same way people react to his message. The first video is a compilation of his sayings - it may be hard to follow but I include it first because it's very beautiful. The second video is a bit more dry but explains his message better. I wonder if there's anyone from the US who is doing something similar. I wonder how different the US law is from the Canadian?

I put "Is the US a common law jurisdiction?" into my search engine and got several hits. The answer to the question is yes, so we should be able to take a position here similar to Menard's in Canada.
That was so refreshingly simple. We really have allowed it to happen to us. The willful ignorance is so commonplace that it just is what it is without even being considered, pondered or recognized. George Carlin would be doing gleeful backflips upon hearing this man speak such simple knowledge concerning our freedoms.... Thank you for sharing that Wendy...

Yes, there are people who are trying to do this in the U.S. but as far as I know, results aren't quite as good. I just listened to Robert's interview with free talk live and he recommends caution here (in the US) as I believe the courts are a bit more corrupt here and your success depends on which judge you happened to get. (as well as how informed you are about the law, and most importantly, your loving attitude) I actually have a group of people meeting at my home who are exploring declaring themselves as pre-14th amendment citizens. (my husband is involved and I'm still learning, just kind of playing hostess) Apparently the 14th amendment was never properly ratified by the states (this is what they claim, I have not done enough research to know if this is true). Before the 14th amendment we were all more or less considered a citizen of our local state and only U.S. citizens by default. There is a book about it called "The Red Amendment" which I intend to read soon. There is a nationwide umbrealla organization of these people called PAC, people's awareness coalition that are doing this.
There are also people who are keeping their regular day jobs and still getting out of paying income tax. I'm not much of a fighter and would not consider this avenue myself but some people are apparently succeeding. I believe that it is very possible for 2 people to use the same exact methods and depending on the whim of fate can get different results, so I consider this risky.The guy who has written books about this method is currenty in jail, so that kind of tells you about the limits of success here in the US.
