One day at a time....

 I'm glad you posted that UKFan and I like to think this way too. Sometimes it's difficult to get much of a reaction to such thinking around here-I'm not sure why. Is it because insincere positive people are such repulsive critters? Do we think it's "childish" or that we'll lose our critical thinking skills? Too "simple" or "lame"? Or if you aren't on guard you won't be able to battle the Elites and their hidden agendas(like your new manager at work).
 I have this weird idea that being positive means "I won't see it coming" when something terrible happens. Isn't that sad? I guess it stems from wanting to protect myself from the usual slings and arrows of life-like "if I can be tense and negative I won't get hurt" (like living in a perpetual flinch)but when I think about it, when stuff really hurts me, it penetrates anyway. Hmmm...is that like a realization? I'd say on balance, being negative has made me brittle and vulnerable rather than flexible and safe. It prevents you from recognizing opportunities and love when you see them. And all of the most successful individuals I admire are positive(think of Winston Churchill). I can't believe how easily I forget this! Thanks also for the email reminder Fred. I will try to be mostly positive today.
