Looks like Scottish vote was rigged

I was so disappointed to hear the Scots voted no. But now I'm just mad because there's a good chance they didn't.

There's also You Tube videos showing some lady moving votes all over from the yes to the no pile and back again. No need for them to bring ID to the voting booth, transportation of ballots were not clearly watched and ballots weren't transported in enclosed containers, international observers were in a large room where they couldn't get close enough to the counting to see what was happening. It's a sad state of affairs...

It seems this phenomenon is worldwide.  It's no secret that our votes don't count in the U.S. -- and haven't for quite some time.

Maybe the lesson here is to stop voting.  Stop hoping for the right politician to come along and save us and start taking responsibility for governing ourselves (in whatever form that may take).

One option which might work is the Ubuntu movement:

I believe the time has come for us to decide what kind of world we wish to live in and to claim it.  If governments do not support the will of the people then it's time for them to go.  Naturally, they won't step down without a lot of kicking and screaming, like we saw during the Arab Spring. Unfortunately, Hong Kong's protests seem to be headed in the direction of similar violence and suppression.

But the Scottish protest has an entirely different flavor.  They are showing us how people can unite and create  change peacefully.  May the Scots become the leading example of a new era of possibilities, not the exception.

it is the one part of china where people can protest ,,,,usually....I happened to be there during these protests the other day,,,but I think they were across the bay from me. However, I was surprised to see them live on the tv while on the subway back to the border. Everyone on the train was captivated by the scenes,,,,,The news was in cantonese,so I didn't even know what they were protesting about then, but was surprised to see the crackdown,as the cops are usually helping the protesters make their way through that zoo of a city in the other protests I have seen there....Even the falun gong people protest there every weekend, with life size photos of practitioners who are reportedly tortured in prison...

I guess the sensitivity of the subject dictates the response,,,L,,,,T

Thanks for the first hand news Tod,

It's nice to know when something is confirmed for real when so much of what we hear is fabricated. Let us know if there's anymore details.
