Global Consciousness Project

I have been fascinated for some time by the Global Consciousness Project, which is for those of you who are not familiar with it, a method of measuring the resonance/coherance of global emotion/thought in response to certain events which have the attention of great numbers of people around the world. 

I discovered this article this morning which is a somewhat technical discourse on Global Consciousness and approaches it from a suprisingly positive scientific point of view.  For those of you who are interested, this rather lengthy article is well worth the read, if you simply wade through some of the scientific jargon.
