Yes, good lecture. Good ideas. It is admirable that they are doing the Venus Project without any money... only the power of the idea.
The only thing I see where he has a blind spot is on the existance of Spirit. Seems to me he should have used the "I don't know" answer he uses for other things he considers unknowns.
I like the introduction video to the Zeigeist Movement, the outreach side of the project.

Yes, I got that too the first time I listened to Jacque speak. It is his blind spot area of weakness and obvious conditioning, the very thing he speaks of as cause for how we all think, but he will be along shortly I'm sure. I have a friend like that, who is avidly religious about being athiest and thinking that life can only exist in biological matter - no matter, no life. That is so completely opposite of what is really going on, especially when one considers that science does not deny the existence of consciousness, for they use it themselves during scientific practice and inquiry. So would one presume that consciousness sprung from the spontaneous and chance animation of flesh, or the other way around? This really reveals how much today's science is in many cases a protected religion at the expense of common sense, as it has been for some time. I once told him (my athiest friend) that he is an aspect of God denying the reality of God (or whatever word one wishes to use for symbolism of what could never be adequately described with words which are mere symbols of symbols).
But Jacque and Roxanne are doing such a good job with the rest of it, with their gifts and areas of expertise, that it hardly even matters at this point, for none of us have any business deciding what we believe by listening to another when all is said and done. These things merely become reasons for our entrenched pet prejudices, or are affirmations for what has already warmly resonated within us (in the case of recognition of spirit and consciousness). So goes our common human experience of such things. And all journeys originate from an inviolate One anyway, so its off to the races!!!!
Zeitgeist Addendum is very good too, if you have not yet seen it... Very Fred-esque, as in very good balance of light and dark....
Thanks for posting this, I will forward on to people I think may be interested. I also know a co-worker who works closely with the local "Environment Network" who is often involved in screening material about positive social change or important information. They might be interested in this, and may have a much wider range of people with whom to get involved.
