That's interesting to see how the brain and body work together in transformational change. I've been experiencing this kind of shift where I choose to change old habits of thought with intention and compassion - it's possible that you could literally forget the old memories, but I haven't found that to be the case. What I have found though is that those old memories no longer trigger a stress/anxiety/anger response, instead I remain neutral or I feel compassion or peace about having let go in that area.

No wonder forgiveness is such a powerful tool.  Forgiveness was always more for the forgiver than the forgivee (IMO), in the saavy tactical sense of setting the mind at ease concerning all those previous and mostly unnecessary psyche entanglements due to recreational ego-driven judgement.

I cannot help the world around me until I am transformed....
