You'll never see THAT on American TV! Dang. I knew about us having more of our own people in jail than any other country - but I did not know we had so many products being made by prisoners. There is a tie in with the money system too - and that is why there are so many here in the states. Every prisoner has at least three bonds posted against him that are monetized and converted to currency (they're the bid bond, bail bond and performance bond). It is literally a cash business to put people in jail here. The body is held as collateral against the bonds.
It's a sick society that we are participating in here.
