Something that has changed that I'm not sure I like is that when you add a new comment to an old post it doesn't move the old post to the recent posts list like it used to. I've been maintaining a collection of Jay Weidner interviews here. I hate to have to start a new post for every one. In the past I just added to the old post and it would pop up on the recent posts list. Now that doesn't happen so no one will know there's a new interview there unless I start a new subject.
I hope you guys could fix that. I personally thought it was kind of nice when a very old post would show up every now and then because someone had commented on it. Sometimes it was something I had missed before.
Does everything that's posted in "Posts & Shares" also appear in "Recent Posts", and if so how long are they kept there?
I find that when I log on, I go right to "Posts & Shares" to read and post, even things that I don't mind being posted publicly. Do other people find this is true for them? I just haven't noticed very many public forum posts recently.
When "Recent Posts" is opened, everything seems to come up, both in-community and public posts. Is this feature accessible to the public? I ask because when I log off and come back to the site as a member of the public (that is, without logging on), I have access to everything. I don't understand how this works.
I just checked this out after seeing your comment Bob, and found a bunch of comments that I didn't know had been added. I believe it has to do with what Wendy mentioned about commenting on a previous post. It was much easier to see the most recently commented on posts moved to the top of the list.
Following up with Wendy's comment... yeah, I see what you mean. If you comment on an old post it doesn't move to the top of the Recent Posts list. The only way I see around it is to post a link to the old post on Posts and Shares, but it still won't show up on Recent Posts. People have to click on Posts and Shares to see it. I'm with you, Wendy. I like the old way better. Maybe a fix is on the way?
We've fixed it now so that any post that receives a new comment moves to the top. Thanks for the suggestion! Let us know if you have more. Much love, Fred

Just noticed another thing... is there a way to delete private messages? I only see a way of marking them read or unread.
