I checked out the email - model T & millage

I saw this in my email , and did some searching around the various links [ at least half dozen ] , & never did find any real attempt at common sense / off hand explanation .

The jist was why did the model T get 25 mpg & average car today , about 22 mpg .

The 1st thing that occurred to me was , the weight difference , I do not have the info at hand , but todays cars have to be 3-5 times heavier , making them have better millage .

Its seems to me better to try to take an issue and make points with the truth , rather than false impressions .

Not that there is not some issues with tech & efficiency
