Alternative to the Bale Out

I really like this guys ideas.

Why does this make so much sense...?

Subject: The Birk Economic Recovery Plan

Hi Pals,

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.

So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college - it'll be there

Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car - create jobs

Invest in the market - capital drives growth

Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed
by one of our candidates for President.

If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG - liquidate it.

Sell off its parts.

Let American General go back to being American General.

Sell off the real estate.

Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.

Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion

We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC .

And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Kindest personal regards,

Birk

PS: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it's either good for a laugh or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $85 Billion!!

Greetings Transformation Team,

I traded stocks, options, bonds, etc for ten years ...and the first thing I was taught was this.. " a free market corrects itself"  Fannie/Freddie Mae nationalized just punished the innocent...and rewarded the guilty !!!

SIT TIGHT AMERICA   !!!!

The sky isn't falling !!! Capitalism is a self-regulating system....things will straighten themselves out !!!

You have to let every idiot responsible for this mess....real estate flippers....lenders...wall streets hotshots with their new investment vehicles....irresponsible consumers...mortgage bundlers...they must be made to live with the consequences of their actions !!!  A bailout isn't capitalism...it's fascism....is that what you want ???

SIT TIGHT AMERICA  !!!

And Blessings to you all....

I believe that is actually only $4,250.00 per adult.

The argument kinda falls apart after that, LOL

P.S. Funny, same thing happened this morning with a caller calling in on C-Span with a similar idea that was to give each person $250,000.00 dollars, and he was quickly corrected by my main man at shadowstats.com, John Williams

I didn't even consider auditing his calculations, but then when you get over 9 zeros, it sort of dazes a person. LOL

As per da zeros,

Totally moot point considering the inevitable collapse of the US dollar

...I come up with $425.00 apiece. I could get Faded Glory tuned up and buy her some tires. I could buy a boatload of water-purification tablets. Or some really big sacks of rice and beans. Some coffee, cartons of cigarettes and booze to use for currency next month or next year. Sounds good to me. Better than a few pigs getting it all.

Sometimes I think of something Pancho Villa is supposed to have said...comparing us Norteños to the corrupt officials of his own country, he mused over which is worse: pigs or locusts. Both eat up all the grass and corn, but at least you get something back from the pig.

His point? The pigs north of the border were willing to pay for his stolen cattle.

I was thinking of the math done as per the 700 billion bailout plan congress is wringing their hands over. This post is relating to the 85 billion bailout of AIG.

One for you ($300 check in the mail from the guy with his dk up my ???)

One for me (700 billion for me and my friends)

One for you

One for me

Seems fair, NOT!

Oh, my bank just went tits up and seized by gov (Washington Mutual).  I love irony!  JP Morgan, the guy so instrumental in the formation and instituting of the corrupt Federal Reserve Bank, is now the proud owner of WM assets/deposits.  Still feel like I am in a Kurt Vonnegut Jr. novel, now with Jamie Dimon from JPM!....

I gave up on the banking system a long time ago.  It's surprisingly easy to do when you're cash-strapped.  I never have more than $500 in the bank.  If I have more, I convert it into something I can use or barter.

I'm serious about stocking up on alternate currencies.  Booze, cigarettes, chocolate and coffee are my favorites.

I remember you talking about the best things to stock up on for barter a while back, and I strongly sense the value of that logic from the mere mention of it again....

Dave, we just got chemtrailed here in the Spokane Valley around noon time! Wide spreads of trails suspended in air and others crossing perpendicular! There is now an eerie dimming effect and haze. I think something is going down soon because this is the first time I have seen such a blatant chemtrail array in the Spokane area....

As for the bank, I love the new catalyst of temptation to be fearful.  A nice warmup for the game of the millenium.  600 concentration camps activated, manned and ready to go when the fit hits the shan.  I look/aim to remain in the eye of the storm, in spite of any and all catalyst to come!!!!
