Some time ago I was asked whether I would explain what Aura-Soma Colour Therapy is all about.
Here goes (this is a very abridged version):
Aura-Soma (this is a registered name and I should really put that little 'r' behind it each time!) was started by a lady named Vicky Wall who lived in England.
Vicky was the 7th child of a 7th child and could see auras from a very young age. Her father used to take her for walks in the park and taught her about herbs and their properties. Vicky's mother died and her father remarried. Her stepmother treated her very badly, so at the age of 16 she ran away from home.
She found a job at an apothecary (pharmacy) and was eventually allowed to mix the ingredients for creams. Her foot cream became famous and was used by soldiers during the war and is still manufactured.
Vicky eventually studied to become a surgical chiropodist and practised this for many years. She became very ill and eventually only 1/3 of her heart was functioning. She was also losing her eyesight due to diabetes. She lived with a woman friend, Margaret. A so-called friend who had handled their finances, robbed them and the two woman became nearly destitute and went to live in a spiritual commune.
In her dreams, Vicky kept seeing waves of colour and knew she had to do something about her visions. One night she went to her still-room and made up a number of dual-coloured bottles, using an oil and water base and infusing these with herbs, spices and crystal energies. She was not sure what she had created, she assumed it was some kind of bath oil or beauty product.
The commune were having a week-long expo and Vicky took her bottles along to this where they used them as the 'legs' for glass shelves displaying other products. Throughout the week, people kept asking to buy these bottles and they had to keep packing and unpacking the shelves. By the end of the week over 140 bottles had been sold.
People were coming back to Vicky and telling her that they had experienced some miraculous change in their lives when using the bottles by rubbing the contents onto their skin. This was when Vicky realised that she had been inspired to create something very special.
The headquarters of Aura-Soma are in Tetford, Lincolnshire, England. A stunning, place, situated on a leyline and filled with the most amazing energy. The products are manufactured there and only organic, pure substances are used, They have quite a bit of their own farm-land where the herbs are grown.
Vicky Wall passed on some years ago, but before her death, started working with Mike Booth who is now the head of Aura-Soma. It has been around for over 20 years and is practised in over 50 countries around the world (Yes, Nada, there is a huge following in Japan!!)
There are now 107 Equilibrium bottles, as they are called. Each one has two layers which float on each other and most are dual-coloured although some are the same colour in both bottom and top layers. They have an incredible high vibrational energy and there are some amazing stories of bottles 'exploding' and there being nothing visibly left except the cap, no glass, no contents, nothing.
Nobody just decides to now make a 'pink and purple' bottle. Mike gets inspired and a new bottle is born after some time of meditating and whatever creative energy he taps in to. New bottles appear at irregular intervals, whenever one is required.
One interesting fact. On the afternoon of Tuesday 9/11 a new bottle came into materialisation. It was a deep olive green at the top with a very deep magenta (nearly looks black) at the base. This bottle was the Archangel Samael. Archangel Samael is the Angel of Death and the Tarot card this bottle is associated with is the "Tower"!
During a consultation, a client chooses any four bottles which are then discussed between the client and practitioner. The client then purchases one bottle which is taken home, shaken by the client to mix the colours and to energise the bottle. The client will then access from the bottle what is needed for their particular well-being. Some of the contents are shaken out into the hand and applied to the body. The bottle is meant to be used up within four to six weeks.
Aura-Soma make no claims of any kind. Whatever change is experienced is personal and particular to each client.
There are also a number of other products produced by Aura-Soma including organic, energetic beauty products, and quintessences and pomanders which work in the auric field.
It is an amazing modality and works well together with Reiki, Aromathereapy, Jin Shin and various other modalities. There is also a Beamer Light Pen which sends a beam of light through a vial of pure Aura-Soma essence to treat acupuncture points.

I have heard of Aura-Soma but had no inkling, really, what it was about. This is really fascinating - and Aquene, your remark about potions is, I think, especially insightful. Yes, this seems very close to actual magic, which truly does exist.
I just started a book on homeopathy, since this directly relates to my job...I think next I will look into Aura-Soma. Certain things speak to me at a very visceral level, all very wordless, and there is something of this here.

Hi Dave,
It is really fascinating. It is quite controlled and we have to do renewal courses every two years at least otherwise our Practitioner's Licence will not be renewed. It makes it very costly, but it also stops the also-rans as the bottles are made with an incredible high vibrational energy and some of the processes used are not from this dimension. People have made similar products, but they cannot compare to Aura-Soma because they are not so energetically charged.
I will gladly give you any information I can. You can also look on the net and you will find a practitioner, if there is one, in your area and go and have a look. The bottles sparkle like iridiscent jewels and are just a joy to look at.
