This last weekend on KPFA at 94.1 FM in the San Francisco Bay Area, kpfa.org and pacifica.org, vets from Iraq and Afghanistan testified at the Winter Soldiers Conference in Washington DC; telling us what is really going on there.
KPFA stopped regular programming for 3 days to broadcast it.
It is called the Gathering of Winter Soldiers.

It was also broadcast on the affiliated Pacifica Network stations all over the country and on Free Speech TV channel on Dish TV, as well.
It is among the most riveting, moving, heart-wrenching and the most interesting tprograms I have ever heard. As a conscious network of people, we can make many people aware of this and, perhaps, influence policy as happened in the 1970s when the first Winter Soldiers gathering resulted in John Kerry's influential "last man to die" speach before congress.
I heard part of the broadcast Sunday. I was impressed not only with the information presented, hard as it was to hear, but also the personal honesty, presence, and at-one-ment with which the persons I heard spoke. There was no make wrong nor excuse, just a coming present with the thuth of what each had done and witnessed.
Thanks for the link LW. Such an important subject right now. If people really knew what was going on over there and would just take the time to look at all the damage done.... Especially the little spoken of use of DU rounds that leave that radioactive micro-dust that re-suspends over and over again with a half life of 4.5 billion years. I long for the day when it becomes literally impossible for each of us to be comfortable in our own skin until wrongs are made right.
