Time To Bow Out

Dear Friends,

Marc Ash, Executive Director of Truthout makes a very good point in this letter. Yes, it is admirable and a history setting precedent that Hillary Clinton has aspired to become the United States first woman president. If nothing else she has proved simply that this is possible. But she must also realize that this is not her turn at this moment in this countries history. The math is just not in her favor, unless under the table methods are used.

Where is the will of the people in all of this? The U.S. Constitution states that the United States is a Nation, "Of the People, By the People, and For the People." It is the People of this great country that are what this country is. And the will of the People must remain supreme if the Constitution is to be upheld.

Let God's Will be done.

Time to Bow Out
By Marc Ash
t r u t h o u t | Perspective

Thursday 06 March 2008

Hillary Clinton had a good day on March 4. She reminded us she exists in her own right, and we may feel free to assume she played more than a trivial role in the Clinton presidential administration of the 90s. That said, she is the second most successful Democratic presidential candidate running this year, not the first. The most successful candidate running this year is Barack Obama.

Can she make a comeback? Sure. But it would necessarily involve "politics by other means." Scorched earth politics, to be specific. As Jonathan Alter, writing for Newsweek, points out, Hillary does have an unsolvable Math Problem. To put March 4 in perspective, with three wins out of four primaries (and a caucus in Texas), Clinton gained a grand total of 12 delegates. That's according to The New York Times. Bottom line, she's not going in the front door. Obama will arrive at the convention with a pledged delegate lead in triple digits.

How we got here matters. The Clinton campaign assured us in advance they would prevail in the "big states" of Texas and Ohio; and so they did. But what made them so sure? They pursued a big state strategy from the onset, the traditional Democratic strategy of the last two decades. The Obama camp, however, went with the newly minted Howard Dean strategy, a small state, small ball game plan. Obama won. The delegate race is effectively over.

Dick Cheney was up front with Bush campaign minions during the 2000 Florida recount, "Just get control of the Oval Office ... it doesn't matter how ... just do it." Machiavelli could not have said it better himself.

If you are a Democrat, you really need to ask yourself where Hillary Clinton is going with this. Well, if she's not planing to make a frontal assault on the White House by going over the fence and charging across the lawn, then she will undoubtedly be planning to sway the Democratic Party's favored nominators, the super delegates. She must argue that the super delegates set aside Obama's victory by the rules, the results of a six-month-long campaign gauntlet, the will of the voters, and hand her the nomination. That's it. That's where this is going.

At that point, two things can happen: The Democratic Party can stand on principal and let the results of the primaries/caucuses stand, or allow the super delegates to speak for all Democrats. The second option is, of course, the explosive one. If the super delegates overrule the process, the Democratic Party could easily be looking at 1968 all over again.

It's said the Clintons really don't like to lose. But how far will they go to win? As far as Bush and Cheney? As far as Machiavelli? Farther? This past weekend, the Clinton campaign, taking a page directly from the George W. Bush campaign manual, played the "Terra" card in their "3:00 AM" ad. Where do we go from here?

Over the past seven years, the nation has suffered immeasurably at the hands of those who would rule rather than serve. The heart and soul of a democracy is the will of the people. The time has come for Hillary Clinton to respect the will of the Democratic voters and stand aside for the good of the country. Pressing on regardless is reckless and beneath the dignity of the senator from New York.

You can send comments to Truthout Executive Director Marc Ash at: [email protected].

Her unwillingness to stand aside will most likely be her undoing, much like Ali fighting one (or more) too many fights in his career. My take on her is she is an establishment candidate (she was at the 2006 Bilderberger Conference for half a day) who feels that it IS her turn and she may just prove to the world how much she believes that by pulling all punches and doing whatever she feels it takes. She says whatever is expedient at the time and, I guess, hopes that nobody was paying attention to what she said last time or years ago? Have politicians gotten stupid or are they just convinced (with substantial evidence to bear) we are? Barack Obama is the right choice this time because he is the most sincere and selfless candidate still standing. In a more advanced America maybe Kucinich and Paul would be running together and winning. More illusions to choose from...

I certainly agree that she is too enmeshed in the Washington Cabal group and it is time that something be done to put an end to the overpowering influence that the Bilderberger group has on American Politics.

It was also Dr. Richard Boylan that did an energy scan on all of the candidates running for the U.S. Presidency and came up with the same connection to the Washington Cabal that I have felt for Hillary Clinton. In that sense she is just following in the same foot steps that Bill Clinton did when he was president, so it is just more of the same.

The only person Dr. Boylan gave top marks to was Barack Obama, who he calls a "Star Seed" and I agree with that as well. It will be very interesting to see what the outcome is of all of this.

Yes, I live in Canada, but I am an American Citizen and I am registered to vote in the November presidential election, so I am very much looking forward to this.

Well said.  My heartfelt concern for Barack, his wife Michelle and their two little girls is what these dark idiots might do if he is elected president - JFK/RFK/MLK.

Lesley,

I agree with what you say. The problem is that neither Paul or Kucinich can seem to get the votes in the ballot box. So wether we like it or not, they are just not contenders for this years election.

I actually tried, in vain, to write a personal letter to both of them this last year because I actually felt they should have joined in a bipartisan team and run as president and vice president to really turn this country around. I could not find any way on their respective Web Sites to get a personal message to either one, so after two weeks of trying, I just gave up on the idea. I actually saw this same idea eluded to on the Truth out Web Site but no one seems to have picked up on that.

I have just one vote in the November election, and I want that vote to count for something. I will not waste it on a stink bid. If given the choice I will vote for Obama (over Clinton), or if I must, Clinton (over McCaine). I just see it as the lessor of two evils.

Yes, it is a sad state of affairs.

With God's Love,

Carl Azcar

My understanding is that by popular vote Hillary is ahead, am if I am incorrect please do say so. So does our vote count at all? It certainly didnt when the choice was George Bush or Al Gore. My outlook on U.S. politics is grim to say the least-and so I continue to pray for Divine Government-for leaders everywhere to WAKE and understand the karmic consequences of their actions not only on individual but also collective levels, and for Divine assistance that we may bring  all to a place of Higher Good based on what is best for ALL not just the world's financially elite few.

One man or woman-neither Hillary or Barack will make the necessary changes the U.S. or the world needs for that matter-it will take a much greater shift in consciousness by many in positions of power.

I ask, and ask that you too join me in so doing,  that collective consciousness in the Highest Good for all Americans and all cultures everywhere begin birthing at a greater rate than ever seen before- right here, right now- and as we have asked we see it done. So be it.

On a Worldwide level may the hungry find food, the homeless find shelter, the sick and injured find healing, Amen.

Carl-Azcar's picture

Onesong,

Be assured, I ask daily in my meditations that God's will be done for every person on this earth. I am appalled with the state of suffering of the human race and I have been watching this erode during my entire time on the earth (71 years). No, I am not giving up but I have no idea how we can stop the lies and corruption of our governments. We all realize that even the voting process has been compromised. What else can we do?

This is as close to a police state that I have seen in my entire life. my only hope now is that the promise of intervention by the Galactic Powers will simply intervene as I cannot see what else can be done to stop this madness in the world.

I know that I am doing what I can, and I know others are trying to do the same. Well, graduation day is drawing near. I guess the chips will just fall where ever they must to bring humanity into Cosmic alignment. In that regard, I simply ask that God's will be done for the sake of all concerned.

In God's Love,

Greetings.

I have looked at 'truthout' each morning for years...until recently, when they joined the ranks of ""only what we want you to hear""....now I don't go there anymore....it's all Hillary this Obama  that McCain this....no Ron Paul anymore...no Ralph Nader....they've become as useless as the MSM....

Same with Buzzflash...and its gun control hyperbole...

Just my opinion...though...

Berry's picture

Stefa,

Thank you for posting that excellent article.  It has been sad that the MSM has for all practical purposes snubbed the Green Party just as they did Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich.   I supported Paul for the Texas Primary and when the returns came in most of the infomation was relating only to the Obama/Clinton/McCain/Huckabey races.

Nader was on Meet the Press with Tim Russert a couple of weeks ago, and all Russert could talk about was how Nader took votes away from the Democratic nominee.  I was at the  point of becoming livid but controlled my emotions remembering that I have no control over what is broadcasted on TV.

I also feel that all I can do is choose the least likely candidate to continue the current regime's programs.  At this point, I am concerned with any of the choices I have as they all have relationships with CFR, Trilateral Comm. and/or Bilderbergers.

Carl,  I am with you in the hopes that there will be Divine intervention.  It appears that that is the only means of stopping the runaway train that we observe right now.

I send positive energy to WDC and the government each night when I meditate, and I do believe that there is a cascading energy flow which will eventually bring the change which we are all anticipating.

Love and Light,

Berry

I would ask that you all read the second post I put on the forum called "The Truth About the U.S. Presidency." It is the true and the sad reality that we face. I have known for several years that what Washington represents is nothing but a shadow government. The real power behind all of this is the Illuminati and the Blinderberger Group, and also realize that this is not just a U.S. thing, it involves the all of Western Europe as well.

That is why I do not feel that we are in a position to change anything without Cosmic intervention. I believe we are all what God is, so why not go straight to the source of what we already are and just ask for that spiritual intervention that will put an end to the mess this is in. I also blame those dark powers for all of this. I do not think that anyone of us has to feel we are to blame for this. I know that I am not and I do not believe that anyone of you is either. So please, stop feeling that this is all our fault. It simply is not.

We have been promised that this world as going to rise to the 5th dimension in the very near future. I guess we will have to expect a bit of real shake-up before that can happen. Well, let the shake-up began, I think we have had enough of this crap. Anyway, that is where I am at on this subject.

I Love you all, With God's Love,

Dear Friends

I hope this comment below puts so sense into this reality that Hillary Clinton faces. If she cannot play the game by the rules of decency then I believe she had better take herself out of the race. Her qualities as a person have greatly diminished in my eyes. Once you start playing dirty politics the real dirt is on oneself.

Breaking the Final Rule
By Gary Hart
The Huffington Post

Friday 07 March 2008

It will come as a surprise to many people that there are rules in politics. Most of those rules are unwritten and are based on common understandings, acceptable practices, and the best interest of the political party a candidate seeks to lead. One of those rules is this: Do not provide ammunition to the opposition party that can be used to destroy your party's nominee. This is a hyper-truth where the presidential contest is concerned.

By saying that only she and John McCain are qualified to lead the country, particularly in times of crisis, Hillary Clinton has broken that rule, severely damaged the Democratic candidate who may well be the party's nominee, and, perhaps most ominously, revealed the unlimited lengths to which she will go to achieve power. She has essentially said that the Democratic party deserves to lose unless it nominates her.

As a veteran of red telephone ads and "where's the beef" cleverness, I am keenly aware that sharp elbows get thrown by those trailing in the fourth quarter (and sometimes even earlier). "Politics ain't beanbag," is the old slogan. But that does not mean that it must also be rule-or-ruin, me-first-and-only-me, my way or the highway. That is not politics. That is raw, unrestrained ambition for power that cannot accept the will of the voters.

Senator Obama is right to say the issue is judgment not years in Washington. If Mrs. Clinton loses the nomination, her failure will be traced to the date she voted to empower George W. Bush to invade Iraq. That is not the kind of judgment, or wisdom, required by the leader answering the phone in the night. For her now to claim that Senator Obama is not qualified to answer the crisis phone is the height of irony if not chutzpah, and calls into question whether her primary loyalty is to the Democratic party and the nation or to her own ambition.

JoyAnna's picture

After all these years of expressing my sacred right to vote, this time I will Bow Out. The only blame we must own for our present situation in this country, is that we have not been vigilent, and we have been meekly allowing corruption and worse to take over while we enjoyed the fantacy world of entertainment and dumbed down educational systems. I say "we" because I, too, let my own personal life with its problems destract me from what was happening. Then I just couldn't believe the little whispers of truth that came thrugh. I was afraid to be considered weird or a conspiracy freek, I allowed all those other ploys to distract me. I performed my patriotic duty, marched to the poling place and cast my vote for the lesser of two evils. Now that I have looked at the truth squarely in the face, grown used to the term "illuminati", accepted possible intervention from the stars, and seen myself as part of All that Is, I cannot participate in this sham anymore. I will not vote. If it is evil (self-serving) what matters which is lesser?

JoyAnna

Berry's picture

JoyAnna,

You may still have another option, over and above the 3 current possibilities. Ralph Nader is again putting his name into the ring and as far as I have heard, will be on the National Preditential ballot.  To my knowledge he is not controlled by the shadow government/illuminati and while we may not agree with everything he propose at least it is a vote for truth and good, rather than voting for the lesser of two evils.  He is closer to my man Ron Paul than anyone else at this point.

L&L

Berry

davelambert's picture

GWB's true legacy is the knowledge that voting means nothing.  I can't even imagine what our government could do to recapture my confidence enough to participate in the sham.  I honestly think it will not matter in the least who is elected.  Even a good president will be hamstrung by special interests.  It is a house that cannot stand.

As I think about indulging the writing of this possible scenario, I can help but think I am momentarily disregarding the primary objective stated so well by Onesong,

but here it goes anyway:

I bought a series of books (Barbarians at the Gate series) a while ago from the author Colonel Donn De Grand Pre and got a chance to talk with him a while. Since I knew from our conversation that he was in constant weekly correspondence with friends in high places, including the joint chiefs (Gen. Peter Pace) I asked him if he would send me anything he had concerning Iran. One of the fax copies he sent me blew me away because it revealed that "Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald is in possession of 23 sealed indictments involving classified documents, numbered bank accounts, trusts, plus film evidence of Senator Hillary Clinton withdrawing stolen US Treasury funds from bank (Bank Crozier) in the British territory of Grenada." "Bank account numbers, entities and trust documents also linked to former Presidents George HW Bush and Bill Clinton (remember them campaigning together a few years ago?) have been delivered to Fitzgerald by agents who originally leaked the evidence for the purpose of exposing the largest embezzlement of taxpayer funds in the history of the United States." So with that in mind, here is my alternative scenario:

Hillary Clinton becomes president. She is then (at some point) indicted and impeached for embezzling (as per 23 sealed indictments) and during the impeachment process America is once again attacked by "terrorists" (I think we all know who the real terrorists are by now) and America goes to martial law in accordance with National Security Presidential Directive 51 and commences a bombing campaign somewhere like Iran or Pakistan.

Anyway, whatever the scenario, we can always do exactly what Onesong is talking about every day at any time, regardless of the circumstances, and that is a very powerful and comforting thought based in reality.

Chris

Carl-Azcar's picture

Dear Chris,

Your remarks back up some comments I read several months ago, that Hillary Clinton would be "disgraced in the eyes of the votes by her own actions." And that this would take her out of contention for the presidential race. That for me is Scenario one.

Scenario two goes like this: President Bush and his gang invoke another 9/11 type incident, and he in turn declares Marshall Law and thus nullifies the Presidential race in the process for security reasons and stays in power to finish his dirty work.

All this means is that I think there are going to be desperate last minute attempts on all sides to make a power grab either to stay in power or, to take power. This is all the more reason why I hope it is in God's plan to pull the plug on this whole business, as I feel we are all growing very tired on the mess and human misery all this is causing.

As far as I am concerned, our so called leaders are not there to lead, in truth they are there only to serve the electorate. That is what is meant by the U.S. Constitutions words that the United States is a country: "Of The People, By The People, And For The People." (PERIOD)!

Love to All,

Carl Azcar

An event that postpones the upcoming election was my #1 pick back in September 07, but something about the way Bush has been acting lately makes me think he is more than ready to be out of there so he can go back to being a spoiled presumptuous rich kid good ole boy wanna-be back in Crawford with his chainsaw and his fake yeehaw. Man is that man's vision severely limited. His proudly-flaunted stupidity never ceases to amaze me - how does someone like that get in to office? But then again, that is exactly what the international money houses want - an imbecile they can count on to be too stupid to have their own agenda. According to Alex Jones' "Endgame" DVD, about 110 of them will suffice.

Carl-Azcar's picture

Dear Stefa,

If I interpret what you have said above correctly, that is what I mean when I said that our so called leaders have but one mandate, that is TO SERVE the electorate to the very best of their ability with the resources at their disposal. It has nothing to do with power and I realize that few would agree with me on that, which is why it will continue to fail, thus will perpetuate the inequities that we see in the world today.

This first must be founded on the 11:11 Universal and Spiritual Laws of the Cosmos. These are not "Thou Shalt Not" dictates given to us by an angry God. These are simply affirmations of our Cosmic rights and Equality to each other. Until that is complied with we are stuck in this dimension. There is nothing mysterious about this, it is so plain and simple that it eludes our ego based thinking.

Just to give you a few examples.

1. Universal Law of Free Will – Spiritual Law of Freedom of Man

2. Universal Law of Change – Spiritual Law of Growth of Man

6. Universal Law of Life – Spiritual Law of Choice

8. Universal Law of Judgment – Spiritual Law of Karma

10. Universal Law of Love – Spiritual Law of Healing

Not one of these Universal and Spiritual Laws is about Power. The only power anyone of us has is "the Power to Serve." That is all I can do by what I say here, by what I do in my community, by what I do in my relationships to my fellow men and women.

These are the Laws that God itself uses to govern this universe and all life forms in it including Mother Earth itself. They are nothing more that a declaration of our Cosmic Rights and Freedoms. And when it comes to serving mankind, nothing has been more of an example to us than the Earth itself which has suffered greatly because of what we collectively have done to this planet.

Well, very shortly, the earth will be rising (again) to 5th dimension. Yes, we are welcome to follow her in her rise to the higher spiritual realms, but it has but one condition. Those who wish to rise with the earth must, individually, agree to the Universal Law of Love (Unconditional Love). Those who cannot accept that condition will just have to wait until the next time around when they can again decide if they are ready to accept this very simple and universal condition.

To put it plain and simple, if a person that is not in tune with these freedoms was to be accepted into the 5th dimension, they would actually find this existence their own personal hell, because the will and power of that existence would run counter to everything they believe and they would by their own decision make themselves an outcast. And example of this can be found within our own societies where people reject everything that society has to offer and by their own choice live in the gutter of life.
And they by doing this create for themselves, hell on earth.

I am but an observer of this, I see it around me and I am mystified by it. Why would anyone unplug themselves from the social net that is so available here in North America. Why would they rather waste their lives with Drugs, Alcohol, and Decease. And please, do not think I am unfeeling about this. I have spent my own time in Federal Prison for the problems I myself created, so I have "been there, done that." I would not be here today if I had not gotten off my ass and put my life back together. That was the choice I had to make, it is what each of us must make. So wether we are a Prince or a Pauper, a so called Leader of a Follower, we are all faced with the same Universal choices. And how we make those choices becomes our progress or our stagnation.

To me, it is no accident that we are all on this earth at this historic time. We are facing the choice once again to progress or to wallow in the misery we have created. Of course these conditions exist, they are all around us. But it is a poison that you do not have to accept, the choice is yours.

The only answer I have come to know is, "Unconditional Love" by all concerned.

Carl Azcar

ChrisBowers's picture

Good stuff Carl. Unconditional Love cannot be tripped up, tricked or offended and cannot be overwhelmed by anything but appreciation for like sentiment and behavior. On and on that list could go...

As my redneck neighbor in Dallas would've said, "'At ole boy's all buckle...he ain't even got no hoss." Somehow a good "yeehaw" from a mountain bike with bodyguards running alongside isn't quite the same. Then again, maybe he just can't wait to have time to read James Michener's Texas.
