Solstice at Mayan Pyramid at Chichén Itzá
Topic - March 20, 2008 - 9:23am
The amazing pyramid at Chichén Itzá is a physical representation of elements of the Mayan Calendar. It was designed so that on the solstice, light would descend from the top through the seven days and seven nights ending at the head of the serpent.
Here is a short noisy film on the descent of the serpent

Thanks so much for the video
Thanks so much for the video links to Chichen Itza. I was there 10 years ago and climbed all over the place. Magical. A friend joined me and we traveled over 3600 miles in Mexico in my RV. What a trip and your post brought back all those wonderful memories. Thank you so much.
Happy spring and Easter and life to all. Peace is everywhere.
Namaste...................
