The latest on a French car with zero emissions that runs on compressed air.
Moteur Development International (MDI) expect that its AirCar, invented by Guy Negre will debut in India and France in 2009.
Cars with two, four and six-cylinder engines will be launched and the first, called OneCat takes up to five passengers. It can go 100km on air or 800km on petrol on one fill-up and as fast as 110km/h. You just have to plug in the car and the built-in compressor will refill the tank in four hours.

I had heard the AirCar was already being driven in certain places in Europe. I remember hearing about this a few months ago at our MetaPhysical Research Society and that the fuel on board kicks in to replenish the compressed air while driving if needed. This is very exciting! I am also looking forward to the electric car that has an electric motor that puts out more energy than it feeds on, thus extending the mileage for one charge to a distance that can satisfy a market fed up with the cost of petrol.
