A Wish to Meet Like Minded People

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted on here. I've missed you guys! It'd been a whirlwind to say the least but I feel closer to my authentic self then I have in a long time. =) I went to symbiosis festival and I would highly suggest trying to make it next year. It gave me so much hope for the future and empowered me to follow my authentic path. I'm putting it out to the universe that I wish to travel around the world. But before I can do that, I need to take care of a few things here at home while I save up, get my passport, etc. In the year or two that it might take for me to leave the country for the first time, I want to travel inside the united states and explore as well. I have a big boy job so I can't be running off for longer than a weekend, but now that I know how easy it is to get around with bus or train nothing can stop me. I have also gotten more comfortable with camping and the outdoors. I have had some fantastic psychedelic experiences recently as well. =) my mind is free!

Anyways, I was wondering two things- one, if there is anyone in the general southern California area who would be willing to meet in a group setting- I want to network a group of people in order to do well-intentioned group meditations. Maybe even a group who can get together every few months and go camping or something along those lines. The second, is if anyone is willing to show me around their region, so I might learn more about this beautiful country that so many have fought for. I made some friends from San Francisco at symbiosis and they offered to let me come stay with them and show me around. I've never been but the possibly excited me beyond measure! In short, I feel very strong on my current path and I look forward to seeing more beauty in my life.
Namaste.

Hi Cameron,

If you want to explore New England I would let you stay on the couch and show you around on the weekends. I recommend not visiting in the winter unless you love and can afford skiing. Any other time of year, New England is great. Quaker meetings are a place to find a meditation group in my area.

Our country is beautiful, but I wish the government was as well. Don't let yourself be conned into beleiving anyone recently fought to defend it - most likely they were told that but actually fought to defend commercial interests. (My father would be one of them) General Smedly Butler is a great source and real hero to find out more about that.

Good luck - I share your dream but I'm holding out for retirement to travel the country. My dream is to get a teardrop trailer because I hate sleeping on the ground - otherwise I love camping.

I think we should all do a group meditation. California is super far for me tho. I live on the East Coast like Wendy. But, we could all committ to doing a group meditation say the beginning of every month at 12 pm. Something like that. Send out our collective good vibes to the earth and universe. That would be super cool. We could have a discussion group too. Where everyone acknowledges through the discussion board their intentions for the month. Monthly group meditation to help bring about The Shift. Can we do it?!?! I'm in!

A few of us here have tried to start regular meditation times at the G-spot, but such efforts have never really taken off.  I don't know what the solution is.
