Good morning, all.
I just read an article about a recent announcement by Warren Buffet and Bill Gates in which they, along with 38 other billionaires pledged to give away at least half of their wealth to charities (Called the Giving Pledge). Not a huge surprise for either of these two guys, but it's a pretty cool statement on the face of things.
So I was just wondering if anyone has any insight into this. I've heard rumblings about Gates and his pledge of $8B for vaccines. A few years ago, I would think that was a wonderful thing for him to sponsor - erradicating diseases all over the world. Now, I'm not so sure.
Both of these men are "self made billionaires". Both came from virtually nothing - modest means, maybe would be considered middle class. I have listened to, and read Buffet's annual reports and other "words of wisdom" for 10 or so years. I find him to be a man of character.
I guess the question is... is this on the up and up? Do you think / feel that these billionaires are just starting to wake up and get it? I don't have the entire list of people who did the pledging (I'm guessing that most are self made billionaires), but I'll look around and see if I can find it. Something tells me we won't see any Rochefellers on that list. I'm just sayin' :)
Lots of love,
Kathy
Here is the link to their website and you can read their letters why they did this. I am so inspired by this effort, because clearly someone is being very brave in making this happen. I read a couple of negative blog responses elsewhere where people were skeptical of motivations like " Its also a way for about 35 people to dictate the next few decades of human advancement." or "Isn't this just a tax write off?"............ kind of "victim's thinking" maybe?
While I want humanity to advance with better living standards for us all(!), I think this is a real act of love and hope for the future. If they get a tax write off, great. If it was me I'd feel very much less cautious about giving away half MY wealth!
Simply by participating, they are acknowledging disparities and acting on that knowledge. I choose to see this in the best possible light and I send my gratitude and blessings to each of them. They are all Americans I think-makes me proud to be one.
Peace
I hope that you're right, Brian, that these folks are acting from entirely benevolent motives. But, at the risk of appearing to be a cynic, and as a balance to the entirely positive view, I'm going to argue the opposite position -- or at least present some not-so-tasty food for thought.
First, what you said, Kathy, which is that the vaccine thing is suspect is a very understandable feeling. Vaccination programs have become a red flag, given our last (and second) episode with Swine Flu vaccine and other weaponized vaccines. And now isn't there talk of another Swine Flu vaccine program in the pipeline? Whose money is being donated toward that? Let's keep in mind the role of the World Health Organization in pushing the Swine Flu Vaccine.
For what it's worth, here's a photo of Mr. Buffett standing alongside Arnold Schwartznegger and the late Baron Jacob deRothschild on the latter's estate in England some years ago: http://www.conspiracyplanet.com/channel.cfm?channelid=2&contentid=961 Buffett and Gates are famous friends; they surely have some of the same ideas and connections. Whether Gates has visited Rothschild or not, I don't know.
In Wendy's YouTube post in Chris' topic "Project Blue Beam...", Alex Collier explains how the Powers that Be infiltrate and take over foundations, charities, and movements that actually begin to bring about positive change, and then bend them to negative purposes. It makes me wonder if there are still any major foundations and charities that have not been corrupted. I guess I'd have to do some detective work -- don't really have the time. Here's the direct link to the Collier talk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uR46QjXjLH0&feature=player_embedded
Parenthetically, here's something very disturbing on the alleged activities and involvement of the World Wildlife Fund in genocide in Aftrica: http://www.fpcn-global.org/content/More_Scandals_about_programs_WWF Prince Philip of England founded the WWF. These benevolent organizations aren't always what they seem to be.
Don't have time to dig it all up now, but some investigators have looked into the activities of some of the largest seeminly benevolent foundations -- like the Rockefeller Foundation -- and found that they are really all about advancing the NWO agenda on various fronts. Given the fact that the third world is still at the mercy of the first world powers (modern colonialism), can we trust the motives of first-world billionaires who fund projects there? I don't say that everything they do is for an ulterior motive, but their activities are worth looking at closely.
Well... I did dig just a little and found this article that I've seen before, by F. William Engdahl, author of the well-known book, Seeds of Destruction, titled "'Doomsday Seed Vault' in the Arctic: Bill Gates, Rockefeller, and the GMO giants knows something we don't", in which he talks about the funders of this project and goes in some depth into the history of the big funders and foundations. It's eye-opening. Here's the link: http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=7529 . The whole Seed Vault think is kind of creepy in itself.
There's a lot more than this to look at, but no time for me to go on here... Still, I do hope that compassion is motivating at least some of these billionaires. I just won't automatically assume it, given the record.
Wealth rarely makes decisions purely based upon one reason. Usually it involves a set of strategic reasons for the move of that much money. The thing that came to mind for me was the very real possibility that these maga-wealthy individuals rubbing shoulders with the ruling class elite may know something concerning whatever is about to happen with the world monetary system.
I have nothing to base that on, other than an initial gut reaction from a head full of related research and conspiracy theory, so not even I can take this too far in my own mind, but there it is awaiting possible confirmation with a host of other hunches...
I would love to find out that they are motivated by one singular pure service to others benevolent thought, and to find that the mass awakening taking place on mother Gaia is further reaching than I had heretofore considered. So that romantic notion sits there with my growing host of conspiracy theory prospects, LOL...
All the things being said about the next few years (between now and March 21, 2013) are varied and so fantastic (some of them) that it definitely has my eyes wide open, while continuing on in my typical day to day existence where little to none of it is being manifested. Up to this point it has all been fascinating and provocative conjecture. Time will tell.....
You know, Kathy, I read the article about this in the paper and found that I just couldn’t decide what I thought about it.
Perhaps I’ve become jaded. Maybe I’ve lost hope in good actions by powerful, or wealthy people. Or in just the goodness in humanity over all. I would like to think and retain the smidgen of hope that this is a sign of the mass awakening. But then again… they could just be tired of it. My gosh – wouldn’t there be a saturation point after the umpteenth billion dollar accumulated in your bank account? And how could you leave it all there and take no action while others go without basic necessities in their lives…. And even die because of it? I couldn’t imagine enjoying such excess - in the face of such lack in the world.
You posed a very good question here. And I’m surprised to see others kind of milling around – wanting to retain hope - yet not able to shake off the lies we’ve been fed for so long.
I think that there is a balancing hazard involved along with the benefit of giving large amounts of money to anyone. If a charity receives a bunch of money…. I can only imagine how quickly it would become corrupt. The temptation of those running and working in these organizations to funnel just a bit off for themselves would be as large as the dollar amount received.
Yes,… perhaps I have become jaded.
Maybe I will just step back over here to my little dying ember of hope and spend my time more productively….fanning that flame.
With Love,
Mary
I can only hope the negative possibilities are wrong. For these people to write these letters that sound so heartfelt and then to do evil in the world instead would be a wicked thing beyond my personal experience with adults, but certainly not outside of human actions in the past. I don't hear that in their words, and my intuition says they are sincere(I read just a few) but if the facts don't bear this out then I need to know it.
Is anyone here willing to follow this story and determine if it is a wholesale fraud? Well anyway keep your ear to the ground.
About Gates support of vaccines-isn't his/their effort to fight disease in Africa and not related to things like Swine Flu vaccines and the documented deceit thru the W.H.O.? Sorry too tired to research right now...
Sorry but I'm a little disgusted by these psyops news announcements about charity. I guess I'm the group cynic.
However, I was impressed with Warren Buffets letter - at least he admits that his 99% to charity costs him far less than the average person who has to go without a movie or a dinner out to help out someone less fortunate.
Here's the thing though. I think one of the biggest "charities" Warren Buffet and the Gates give to is the Gates Foundation. This is the foundation that has been vaccinating Africans and also serilizing them along with the vaccines. Bill Gates admits to so much with his comment that we can use health care to control population growth. Here's more from William Engdahl who does excellent research:

I think the real charitable people are the poor and lower middle class folks who work for minimum wage. They donate their life working for others and have little reward for it at the end. They give up things of value that are of value to them, things like better quality food and health care, time that should be spent with family and spend their time doing hard work for long hours. Many of them are artists who have probably given up oportunities to earn more money but choose to spend their time doing what spirit calls them to do. No one puts plaques on the wall for the hours they work, no one talks about how generous they are in the newspapers, they get on no lists or special websites.
I see these types of news stories as "praise for the king" articles - Look at what great Masters we have! How kind and generous they are to donate money that in a fair society they never would have "earned" in the first place. I can't believe that Buffet or Gates contributed any more to society than the waitress that served my meal this evening, why are we praising the theifs for giving back stolen money? Perhaps there are those of you who would point out the value of all the MircroSoft products have added to society. But should Bill Gates really earn all the rewards for that? How many of his employees who really put in the long hours and have the skills and intelligence to write microsoft programs are getting the rewards they really deserve?
Ok, I've ranted enough, sorry to come down so hard on this but if there's one thing I hate it's hypocracy and that's the real guts of what I'm upset about. Kudos to Buffet for admitting that he's not really sacrificing much but if he really cared he's be giving up his jet and probably a lot more he's not telling us about.
Wendy
P.S. Here's one of the most facinating facts about Buffet and perhaps is also what's behind my complete lack of trust in him.
Hi All-
I just found out about this today. I felt a great need to watch it again after my rant. There is so much beauty in the world that we never place a monetary value on. Hope you all enjoy.
Hi Wendy
I just loved the dolphin video, what a lovely way to start my day.
I, like you, am very sceptical of the motives behind the 'generosity' of these billionaires, as soon as I saw the headline my gut reaction was "yeah right". Only time will tell I guess. Brian I agree, let's watch this one and see what happens - I hope I'm wrong.
How refreshing would that be - that they are seeing the light I mean
with love val
Here's more about the history of mis-use of charitable foundations
Wendy
There is a choice being given to the PTB-- Shape up or Ship Out.
I see this is their attempt to shape up--- even if it is still highly distorted by their own hypnotism--- it is still an attempt toward higher self-actualization.
Time will tell. Let us focus our attention on the outcome we would like to show up for our world. Cynism is also a giving away of power... Oh You Bastards, I am the Victim here and nothing will ever change says the cynic.
This is a form of not taking responsibilty for ones own personal soviengtry...
Where our attention and focus goes so flows creation.

Hi Everyone-
Perhaps I'm beating a dead horse here but I keep running into articles about the mis-use of charitable foundation money. I hate to see all you beautiful caring, sharing, loving hearts get scammed! Please be wise as serpents when evaluating articles from the mass media, there's almost always a hiden agenda.
