Seen any movies lately?

Dear Friends,

Have you seen any movies that seems to offer new conciousness perspective?

Or perhaps old media that you find wisdom in? Movies that we could share with eachother.....and with others.

Please recommend movies that made an impact on you, your perceptions! A brief general teaser, how many stars you would give it, what type of wisdom it dispensed, and a hint as to the flavor of the film(humor, drama, fantasy, biography or ?)

Thank you keeping us all growing and entertained!        Love,Mary

There is some snow at the higher elevations but scant, even on those craggy peaks of Glacier Park.  Hopefully we'll get the big dumps soon as there is alot of moisture, just not cold enough for the flakes. I'm looking forward to skiing soon and the grizzlies to all go to sleep (more relaxed hiking and snowshoeing).

I just watched the Ripple effect with a great cast interacting through cause and effect...a compelling look at how we are all connected if not One.

Hi Everyone!

I can't resist joining this great discussion on movies. I've been a film buff for over 50yrs.

Here are some of my all time favorites. The Hunt For Red October, excellent blend of special effects and excellent acting, Billy Elliot, a follow your dream message on the order of August Rush, Remember The Titans is so fine on so many levels my wife and I can watch it at least once a month. It just makes you feel good. We just saw the new James Bond movie and although it was very good , we felt it was not as great as the previous  Daniel Craig flick, Casino Royale. The Last of the Mohicans, all three versions are worth watching. The Searchers, one of John Wayne's best movies and a John Ford classic. There are scenes in the Last Samurai that are as good as it gets in a modern movie.

That's it for now,

Remember, God loves it when we laugh!

Hi Mary!

As an old movie buff I've really enjoyed everyone's comments and recommendations. My wife and I went to see the new movie,Australia, last night. It was definitely worth seeing, not great, but very entertaining. There is one theme that pervades the film that reminded me of the way we treated American Indians and our total disrespect for their beliefs and traditions. Forcing their children into mission schools far away from their families ,and the anti Indian sentiments that still are so common in many parts of the US. The Australian natives, or aborigines, get the same treatment from the Australian white society. They are also depicted as  haveing supernatural powers. Two of the strongest characters in the movie are the young native boy and his native grandfather, a real aboriginy. I don't want to spoil the story for you, so I won't say any more.

Keep the comments coming, I love it!

Dear Jim,

Thank you for the review! It is a pleasure to have your input here. That looks like a film worthy of being seen on the BIG screen. If you are a reader too there is an interesting book....Mutant Message down under. An american womans walkabout experience. Biography or fiction? I enjoyed it.

Don't know if this one has been mentioned yet, but

Bridge to Terabithia is one of the most touching and imaginative children's movies (actually all ages) I have ever seen.  Will make you think of many touching things you have learned along the way during your own imaginative life journey, especially if you played in the woods as a child.

Greetings TT,

I saw this again and thought it was as good a clue as you can get as to who's been in charge of the world and where they're located....(not that it matters much now)....  but I thought you would like to know...  the surface world powers that be. I won't even get into the inner earth....you're not ready for that...are you?

These two movies have been mentioned before, but deserve an encore.

The Last Mimzy and The Golden Compass

Finally got around to viewing The Golden Compass last night and it is nothing short of a perfect dramatization of so many things learned in The Law of One and studies concerning parallel universes and time travel, which is really just subverting the otherwise normal flow of space/time.  It appears that there is going to be an amazing sequel that will feature the free will struggle for free will between STO and STS.

Should be amazing!  It was very interesting to find that the same man that brought us The Last Mimzy is also the one that brought us The Golden Compass and all that it features in the movie, including free energy....

What The Golden Compass made me really realize in my core Being is that we are not really wrestling with or battling "against" anything - there really is no evil in the dark, there is just the catalyst and our interpretation of it.  Correctly understood, this type of strong catalyst is simply an avenue for awakening to a more assertive sense of Self, a better practicing understanding of Self Response-Ability.  It is a divine snooze alarm to wake us from our comas, LOL....

Love/Light, Chris

Thank you for the tips! I was impressed by Mimsy, have not yet seen the other...I will look for,and forward to it!

I accidently caught an episode of the old Startrek Next Generation tonight entitled apropriately enough "Where No Man Has Gone Before".  I thought I had seen all of the SNG episodes but appearantly I had not.  Regardless, this program was a surprise to me, a true synchronicity, as it was dealing with Wanderers, higher densities (dimentions) and the creative power of thought. I don't know the date of the original episode but this story was so on track with metaphysical principles, star seeds, wanderers (called travelers in the program) and quantum physics as applied to the Oneness of the Universe, I set there watching in amazement.  The creator of this particular episode must have been a student of metaphysics, Law of One, and String Theory.   If you can obtain a video of it I would suggest watching it for the pleasure of seeing what we talk about regularly being incorporated into an at least 10 year old television program. I did a search unsuccessfully to find a video on line but no such luck, only vague references.

In relation to your post Berry, I finally got around to reading Secrets of the UFO last night, got through the first 50 or so pages, and the title hardly does it justice.  What Don and Carla are discussing is the heart and soul of how this Creation functions as they, from their exhaustive experience with such phenomena, appropriately reduce it to the simplest of terms, Frequency, Density and Consciousness.

Our presumptuous understanding (or misunderstanding/misinterpretation) of the distortion known as "distance" is such an outdated concept in Light of what they are discussing in this phenomenal study of the data.  I know this forum is about movies, but if anyone wants an amazing movie in their head from reading an excellent book such as this, this is the one that will take you for a wonderful ride into the awesome truth of how things really work, awesome to us who are just beginning to understand that the universe is NOT based on the law of thermodynamics and 4 dimensions, commonplace for those far advanced of us who operate accordingly constantly.

Imagine the multidimensional universe as a TV tuner, and if I can learn to change the channel "consciously" I can see very well, not only how this Creation is teeming with infinite life forms of many different densities, but that in the blink of eye, in a moment of well-directed conscious intent, I can "Be" anywhere, and distance becomes a useless concept to be left to fade from consciousness forever.

Dewey B. Larson really is on to something with his RS Theory based upon 3 dimension of space and 3 for time, for a total of 6, and so much of what is discussed in this amazing book (Secrets of the UFO) is confirmed by Ra in the Law of One material.  And as you know, David Wilcock covers this very well on his website DivineCosmos.  I will attach the PDF of the book here for anyone wishing to go for the latest ride of their life....

Oh, and another very interesting thing (later covered by Ra in the Law of One material years later) that is covered in the first 50 pages is the subject of polarization.  In some ways Don and Carla cover it better "fundamentally" here in this book than Ra does later in the LofO material.  We experience this all the time and most do little to focus on conscious collection of such polarization which is the very thing that leads to ascension which is nothing more than the "magic" (not really magic at all) that we are already actually immersed in infinitely.  We experience it when we do something nice for someone or when we are totally and unabashedly self-serving.  Either done in a constant conscious fashion builds up a very powerful charge that can be used either for STO or STS intention.  What most people lacking in the understanding of all the power that surrounds them in this "unified field" do is one nice thing and then one selfish thing, back and forth like that for a lifetime, never realizing that they had within them constantly the divine "capacity" to utilize the very simple truth of this Creation and build up a charge in one direction or the other and come to truly realize how very effective such power is, that it is the very same power that Yeshua built up consciously by design to perform the so called miracles he performed which is nothing more than the very very commonplace "magic" omnipresent infinitely in potentiation in the very conscious unified field.  And what did Christ say to his disciples?

"Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who believes in me the works I do shall he do also, and greater than these shall he do, because I go to the Father"

The only reason this sounds "religious" is because mankind turned the Truth into a religion like we have done so many times before when our celestial neighbors were lending a helping hand and throwing us a bone.  What do we do? Disregard the nutrients of the bone and bite the neighbor, LOL.  In truth, more advanced and enlightened "science" already understands/knows these truths as a blend of science and spirituality.

We truly live in phenomenal and amazing times right now and our very lives are the real movie of the "week".  I will go out on a limb and predict that the movie we are living right now is going to get even more amazing and enlightening fairly soon.

Love/Light, Chris

Berry's picture

As usual Chris, you did an awesome critique of this book, far superior to what I could have said.  I agree in totality and Oneness with you. The interesting thing about it is that it was written some years before the Ra entities ever managed to come in due to the addition of Jim into the group with Don and Carla.

Yeah this thread is about movies but this book is a better trip into the cosmos than any movie.  Hehe, that Star Trek Next Generation episode fits right in with it as a matter of fact!

As I stated in a personal email between Chris and I, when I made the above post, I had confused two different books which have at different times been posted on the Portal.  I was thinking when I posted the above about the book also authored by Don and Carla, "The Crucifixion of Esmarelda Sweetwater".   However what I wrote above is just as effective for one as the other. So check them both out! LOL   Actually those who are interested in encounters of the third kind should by all means read the Secrets of the UFOs.  Those who are interested in the spiritual connection between we Native Earth entities, Wanders and those of other worlds, densities, realms should read the "Crucifixion" novel.  Either way you will enjoy both of them.

Dave,

I don't know if the three cities video you linked to originated in the Ring of Power. But it's certainly an important part of the theory that the producer of Ring of Power has put forth. If you have time, watch the 5-hour long version. It comes in two parts which I have linked to in my blog post "My world view - Adjusted."

The scope of connections this video offers is amazing. It seems plausible. But it's certainly controversial. Especially part two.

And what is funnier than our political system here in the US? In celebration of Al Frankin's apparent victory to the senate I am going  to find a copy of Stuart saves his family. An insightful comedy about family dynamics. Franken plays a Saturday night live character Stuart Smiley.I found wisdom and belly laughs in it!

Dear Berry,

I wanted to respond to your mention of Star trek. This TV show has done a lot to expand our consciousness. A multi racial/gender crew, having the concept of interacting with beings from other planets and galaxies have helped us to think, and be more comfortable with these concepts. I have not seen the episode that you mentioned, but I hope that I do.Thank you for your input and offerings!

Dear Fairy,

I haven't yet seen this one. I am not studying the law of one....but I do tend to focus on behavior that I admire, rather than despise!I realize that we are all both glenda the good witch, and the green one with the cool flying monkeys. I think that those monkeys would have been happier spreading joy and love instead of fear. This I truly believe!

Hello, dear friends,

I just saw "Ambition to Meaning:  Finding Your Life's Purpose" and it is one of the most touching and inspiring films that I've ever seen.  I like it as much "What the Bleep" and found it much more watchable than "The Moses Code" (which I found a bit slow), and I think it has the potential to touch many people, because it reaches people at the mainstream level without compromising in its message.  I'd give it a 9 out of 10...and I don't know what movies I'd give a 10 to!

The site to find it on is:

Hi Folks!

My wife and I have been trying to see some of the Oscar nominated films and I'll give you a very brief opinion.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button- Well worth seeing,-different,interesting special effects, excellent acting, at 3hrs it's a little long.

Nixon/Frost-Some of the best acting I've seen in a very long time.Well worth seeing.

Gran Turino-Good, but not up to  Clint Eastwoods previous standards for either directing or acting.

Some Golden Oldies recently being shown on TV and always worth watching

Four Feathers-1936-British troops defeating the Sudanese Islamic rebels This film is considered a classic.

The Red Shoes- probably one of the finest ballet films ever made.Enjoyable even if you don't like ballet.

Hi, I know this might sound really out of left field, but I really loved The Full Monty.  On the surface a really silly and fun movie (albeit definite R movie), but also has a rich undertone about relationships, and communication, and connection.  It's one of those movies in which you can laugh and cry at the same time.

Hi Mary, my two bob's worth.  'Step into Liquid' a surfing film in that goofy Endless Summer way about the joy of just being in the ocean, or the great lakes or surfing the waves of 'supertankers'  sufers from all over the world just enjoying 'the stoke'  Particularly memorable  is some of the footage of a couple of American surfers (brothers actually) teaching Irish kids how to surf, protestants and Cathlolics.  Or the guy who has surfed every single day in the cold waters near Oregon and gives thanks to each and every wave in the traditional Hawiian manner.  It is a truly beautiful movie about human obsessed with the beauty of the ocean.  I love the quote from champion sufer Rocelle Ballard who when asked who is the best surfer in the world replies, 'the one having the most fun'  I KNOW you will really enjoy this movie.  As one, Rob.

Hi, I just saw "The Soloist" on Saturday night, and I wanted to pass along a thumb's up.  It was full of great acting, and in the spirit of "Slumdog...", it brings the viewer face to face with a reality that one does not necessarily want to see.  As the eternal Mom, I learned that what I think is best might not always be the best thing for another person.  I also am beginning to understand that the homeless in this country, and I'm sure other countries around the world, are a complex mix of those down on their luck, those who choose that lifestyle, those who are addicted to drugs or alcohol, and the mentally ill.  Each type of person has different needs, and cannot be treated as one mass of people.  Lots to learn in 2 hours.  It was also a beautiful story of friendship, and stewardship.

Love and light on this Monday morning!

is "A rumor of Angels" with Vanessa Redgrave; it is a little obscure, from about 2000 or 2002.

A wonderful film about an eclectic elder and the lessons about life, love and dying she gives a young boy who has lost his mother. Truly lovely from a spiritual perspective and entertaining as well.

I also liked "The man from Earth" (2007) for it's thought provoking commentary but it is more like a dialogue for discussion than entertainment. If a Master was right next to you would you recognize him?

hmmm !
