It's Time to Practice What You Preach and Walk The Talk

Two weeks ago my wife and I were flying from Naples to Rome on our way back to JFK airport. We had been staying in Sorrento and had visited Amalfi, Rovello, Capri and Pompii and were happy but tired and eager to get home as we were both coming down with colds. We'd been up since 4:00am in order to have our luggage in the hallway by 5:00am etc and we both planned to sleep on the flight home once we left Rome.

.When we landed in Rome and took the bus from the plane to the main terminal to get our transfer ticketing we all realized that something was very wrong. There were hundreds and hundreds of people landing at the Rome airport from all over Europe and Asia planing to take Alitalia flights to their final destinations. and Alitalia had just gone on strike. For the next 9 hours we stood in line  trying to work our way up to the Alitalia counter.I had found a luggage cart, piled up our luggage, got in line  with the rest of our little group and tried to stay calm. Our group was staying very tight, sharing energy bars, water bottles, and pushing other peoples carts when they had to use the rest rooms or go for food. After 3 or 4 hours when the line just kept getting longer and longer and people realized they might be here for days things started to get tense.People were trying to cut in front of us and there was a lot of screaming and shoving. In our small group we had two elderly women in wheelchairs and at least 6 older ladies traveling alone and they looked like easy targets.so we kept our carts close together with the smallest ladies in the middle. .My wife had left me to find a place to sit down for a few minutes and I was standing there with my head resting on the top of our luggage, sweating profusely  and wondering how I could deal with with a searing sore throat. The energy and emotions in that terminal were all  based on fear, anger, despair, bewilderment, hostility, and terrible frustration. I was barely able to talk because of my sore throat but I was tired, feverish and discouraged..

And then it hit me, I could change this entire happening. I'm the cocreator of my life, I can act instead of just react, my thoughts and feelings have power, the matrix is mine to use, what I send out is what I''ll get back.Fear, anger, and frustration are draining so they have to go.I shut out the chaos all around me and I started my nice deep rhythmic breathing. I pictured my wife and me on an airplane headed for home. I started pumping out Divine love for everyone around me, these were all my brothers and sisters, we are all one. I started praying for all these poor families caught here with crying babies and frightened grandmothers. I sent them peace, courage, faith, hope. I was now in a wonderful calm place in my head and in my heart and I knew things were going to get better. An hour or so later the woman in front of me  mentioned that if you have flight insurance you can use it to book a flight home on another airline and she had a cell phone that worked. and I had a copy of our flight insurance in my pocket. In the next few hours a series of little miracles happened and we  got the last two seats on an American Airlines flight out of Rome direct to JFK at 10:00 am the next day.  We had been up of over a day and a half, but we were going home. The strike lasted for two more days and thousands of people were stranded in Rome

We have been given the knowledge, we are born with the power, we are more than just academics  we really can change our lives.

Absolutely wonderful, insightful and inspirational story coming from actual experience!!!

Thank you so much for sharing that....  It would appear that we are so powerful that we can thoroughly convince ourselves that we are nothing more than academics, thereby neutralizing for a "spell" the very inherent/constant co-creating power within us, the same power that spoke one word and caused the big bang of Unity's form of Creative many-ness, the playground providing for one more inspiring form of experiential knowledge...

What a cool place to Be!!!

Dear Fairyfarmgirl,

Thank you so much for your positive support and understanding. We use so little of our inate abilities and power but we are all slowly waking up and focusing our inner light. I love the people I meet on the TT and you are consistently one of the most  insightful and loving.

Namaste,

Jim

Chris,

I love you , your brilliant mind and your great sense of humor make the difficult concepts understandable and keep me smiling while I'm pondering.

Isn't it a shame, I had to be sick,,,,,,exhausted,,and angry for several hours before I thought to use my inner light. And to have changes and results manifest so quickly. Wow! It's all true!

Most never even notice the opportunity you discovered through the inner search - just remain in their perceived misery and have a very funny tale to tell years later when the sense of misery has given way to comedy.

The other thing that this made me remember is that the Creator absolutely revels in and enjoys every variation of experiential knowledge.  Now how free and liberated is that!!!  The implications of that level of freedom just blow me away, and yet that particular level of freedom is always there, inherent in each of us as co-Creators, something you discovered in practice at the airport.  Chalk this one up to utterly void of shame dear brother!!!!
