Hi beloved friends,
I was excited to get an email announcing that Challenge Day will be on Oprah again on the 26th. I'm posting the announcement I received below for any who might be interested. What a fantastic program!
With abundant love and joy,

Watch Challenge Day on Oprah!
We are going to be on the Oprah Winfrey show on Monday, January 26th 2009.
Oprah’s production team recently asked us to create a special Challenge
Day for parents and their teenage children who are dealing with obesity.
We were excited to meet this challenge because of our own personal and
family histories with food addiction. We know that overeating or
abusing food in an attempt to fill an emotional hunger is just one of
the many ways teens and adults have learned to numb out. At every
Challenge Day young people share their struggles with overeating, not
eating at all, eating and purging, abusing alcohol or any other drug,
smoking, cutting, lying, stealing, joining gangs, sleeping around,
running away, bullying, violence even suicide – all ways to attempt to
numb out feelings blown into their emotional balloons.
This show is an opportunity to teach millions of people, young and old,
how to release built-up feelings that can prevent us from experiencing
love and joy and having the life of our dreams. On this show, you will
get a window into the lives of these brave young people. They
vulnerably drop the waterline and allow viewers to see both the pain of
their food addictions and what has caused their deep hunger.
In part one of this two part series (the 2nd of which we have not seen
and is with Dr Oz), You will witness the young people and their parents
experiencing profound healing using some of the tools we teach at
Challenge Day and our Next Step to Being the Change workshops. You will
watch as these courageous teens release years of pent up anger,
sadness, grief, and rage as they transform hopelessness into the
passion that they need to change their lives.
To help you learn in full detail how to apply the emotional release
work process you will see on the show, we are offering a free download
of the “What Else?” chapter from our upcoming book, Be the Hero You
Have Been Waiting For, at http://www.challengeday.org/downloads/WhatElse-BookExcerpt-11.pdf
We’re delighted to report that the book is scheduled for release on
February 14th at our Annual Fundraiser. To reserve your seat now,
contact the Challenge Day office at 925-957-0234 or email Natalie at [email protected]. We will have pre-order information for the book soon!
Our vision is that this new Oprah show will serve as a springboard to
inspire healing for people everywhere. By incorporating the tools from
the “What Else?” chapter from Be the Hero, our goal is that people who
watch the show will be empowered to bring growth and change into their
homes, schools and communities.
Our Challenge: gather your Be the Change Team, your Circle of Change,
your family, and your friends and watch Oprah on January 26th (see your
local tv listings for your time zone). After the show, we invite you to
practice the tool of “If you really knew me” having people share their
experience of the show and how it may apply to their lives. You may
even want to print out copies of the “What Else?” chapter for further
discussion.
You can go onto Oprah’s website and join in the blog following the show.
Please forward this email to any one you believe might be interested or
feel could benefit from the program. We will send out one more
reminder the week prior to the airing.
Love and blessings on this glorious New Year!

Co-founders of Challenge Day and the Be the Change Movement
